What does Participation Involve?

All of our studies are designed to be fun, interactive games that help us better understand the skills that are important for early childhood development. Depending on the specific research project that your child is assisting with, participation may involve:
  • Playing interactive games on a touch screen computer or tablet
  • Eye tracking used to record your child's visual attention to objects on a computer screen
  •  One-on-one play-based games that help us assess different cognitive abilities
  • Parent questionnaires

Most of our studies involve just a one-time commitment. Results letters are also sent out to parents upon completion of our research.
Where Do the Studies Take Place?

The location of our studies will vary depending on the study. These may include:
  • In our child-friendly research lab on Bradley campus
  • At your child's daycare or preschool
  • At the Peoria PlayHouse
How Do We get Involved?

If you have children between the ages of 2 and 7 years and would like to participate in future studies, click the link to sign up for our contact list. Signing up does not commit you or your child to participating in any study. The information we collect is only used to determine your child's eligibility for any ongoing studies. Once a study becomes available for your child's age group, we will contact you with more information, at which you can let us know if you are still interested in participating.
